EVERY second approximately 4 babies are born; 2 people die. Each day, aboiut 360,000 human babies are born; 150, 000.die each day. A day!! That’s about 4.5 million a month who die. Four and a half million people every month! That means while aorund 108 millions of people are being born, about 54 or so million people are dying each year.
That is a lot of coming and going.
Young and old, rich and poor, sick and healthy. Kings and princes, religious leaders, politicians, commoners, and the nobody’s of this world are dying by natural or unatural causes.
NO ONE

THE CERTAINTY
AND FINALITY

What scientist, what philospher, what politician, what trillionaire can explain the mystery of life, and the certainty of death?
GOD
said
“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after that,
the Judgment.” Hebrews 9:27
GOD says that He has appointed every person a day in which they will die. The lungs will stop pumping air; the heart will stop pumping blood; the brain will cease to function. The body will grow cold and rigid.
AND IF man has no soul or spirit, then that is it. In that case the person, his memory, his affections, his feelings, his failures, his successes, his family, his efforts will mean nothing, for they will cease. And his life will be no better than the pet dog or pet bird. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE…
MANY people have after coming out of a coma or unconsciousness, testified later to hearing people in the same room discuss their predicament while being unconcious. Babies in the womb are affected by the emotions, feelings, trouble or happiness that their mother experiences. Unborn babies are real people; they have soul and spirit. John the baptist’ jumped when his mother heard the sound of her cousin Mary’s greeting….
…”And it came to pass, that, when Elizabeth heard the salutation (greeting) of Mary, the babe (John) leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. And she spake out with a loud voice….as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped* in my womb for joy.” (Lk 1:41-44) *Leaped or jumped, or skipped sympathetically.
ONLY people with souls can express the human emotion of joy. Make no mistake about it. Babies in the womb, no matter how many weeks or months of the nine month cycle, are REAL PEOPLE with soul and spirit. And God is keeping track of everyone of them, and they are all written in His book, for THEY ARE HIS CREATION, regardless of the human father and mother. And irrespective of what man thinks about the precious life God is forming in the womb.
GOD is watching with great care every child being formed in the womb of their mother, and He will require their blood if any person takes that little one’s life – Genesis 9:6, And those who ‘play God’ with babies in test tubes, God is not mocked. He sees all that you do, and you too will give account to Him on your own. HE ALONE IS YOUR JUDGE. All murderers have to answer to God who formed them, on the Day of Judgment. And if they have not confessed this grievous sin of murder, and repented of it, before they die, they will themselves have to suffer an unending murder themselves, after this life is over. As they did so it shall be done to them. And God will make sure that each one reaps a harvest from the particular seed they sowed.
AND lest any think that suicide is not murder, GOD DOES NOT NOR WILL NOT judge according to man’s dictionary definitions. He says that the life of flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). Whoever sheds man’s blood will be guilty. A baby in the womb has human blood.
The blood that is coursing through your veins is a gift from God. It is your responsibility to care for it, and preserve it; you have no right to shed it, in order to take your own life. Blood is more than a complex liquid in the body; IT IS LIFE. You would then be stealing something that really belongs to God – life. God will hold you accountable. Life is precious to God for it is His gift.
EVERY work of man God will judge, and He misses nothing – secret or known. This is why it is so important, even absolutely necessary to REPENT and confess your sins to God, not to a priest, TO GOD, against whom you have sinned, so that HE may forgive you and wash away your sins in the blood of Jesus Christ His Son. We all must do this. God has no pleasure in the death of thsoe who die with their sins still attached to their souls.
HE said to Noah after the World Wide Flood, “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God made He man.” (Gen 9:6) He will even require it of every beast who takes a human life (Gen. 9:5).
MAN does have a soul, a will – power to choose, a memory, power to reason, ability to love, to hate, to feel, to desire, and so on. The surgeon will never see the ‘soul’ of his patient as he cuts open the flesh. Neither the soul or spirit of a person is seen by the naked eye. These functions and abilities are not a physical substance like blood or bones. These abilities of the soul WILL NOT rot in the grave, nor can they be burnt or destroyed by any natural means. Yoou can’t burn emotions, or intellect, only the body which houses them.
So God breathed His own holy eternal breath into that physical frame of Adam and instantly he became a living soul; a living person; spirit, soul and body. And so all of mankind being sons of Adam, are so activated by the breath of life from God Himself. It is the ‘breath’ of God in man that is a spiritual factor. Man cannot really explain breath, unless he acknowledges God who gave it.
THE English word breath is related to an Old English word meaning to burn (Collins English Dictionary). Actually, when a person is dying the body grows cold; the heat is going from him – his breath is failing. And if such a person can be revived, the body starts to get warm again, as the breath resumumes normal function. Our active bodies burn oxygen and the stuff we feed ourselves with, because we are breathing. Breathing has to do with burning.
When God says, it is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment, the man, his body is dying because God is requiring the soul, or life of that person to appear before Him in Judgement so that they may receive their just rewards for their work.
GOD IS NOT LIKE MEN.
DO you know when you will die? I certainly do not know my time. Are you ready to meet your Maker and Judge? And do not let anyone fool themselves in thinking that when they die there is nothing afterwards. Your own conscience – your own inner ‘science’ – or knowing tells you otherwise. You may bury your con-science, but you will never destroy it, for it too is a gift from God.
But even if you have buried your own conscience under a heap of opinions that you have made yourself comnfortable with, God has recorded His own words by which He will judge us: “For God will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiates 12:14); and also “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Revelation 22:12)
“AND the devil that deceived them (humanity) was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” John – Revelation 20:10- 21:1.
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU HAVE LEFT?
JESUS tells a story about a rich man who had much produce and was very pleased with his life’s work. But he was not content with that, so he decided to make plans for extending his wealth by building more storage space for bigger and better crops; and talking to himself, he said, “Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”
BUT God spoke to him that same night, and said, “You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall these things be, which you have provided.” Jesus went on to explain how important it is to trust God, and make sure we have treasure in Heaven where moth, rust and thief cannot touch them. (Luke 12:16-20)
Where your treasure is that is where your heart will be.
And you will follow your heart’s desire.
Make Heaven your heart’s desire
while you have time.
GOD says that Jesus came to be clothed in the same kind of physical body as all other men, in order to suffer death and render useless the devil who had the power of death over them. He came to release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to slavery (to the devil and sin).. (Hebrews 2:14, 15) Not just fear of physical death, but also fear of the spritual death – being cut off from God for all eternity…in endless unsatisfied existence.
This rendering useless of the Devil’s real power is not to say that the devil is inactive. He is very active…more than you can imagine.
BUT what Jesus did in crushing the devil’s head (Genesis 3:15), when He died on the wooden cross, was to disable the devil’s power of death, legally. Jesus says in Revelation 1:19 that He alone has the keys (total authority and total legal access) over and of, Death and Hell. When we have keys to a house, we have lawful access to that property at whatever time we choose. And if the house is ours legally, then we have total authority as to what happens over it. Jesus is Lord over everything, including the Devil, Death and Hell, and, the Lake of Fire.
And also Heaven
…and that is where He wants you to be when you die physically. He wants to gather your soul and spirit into His Father’s house. But you must repent, and be born again from Heaven, as the Scriptures teach..
But you must choose.
And if you do not choose Jesus Christ who is Life, you have chosen not to be with Jesus Christ who alone is Life. And He will not trick or force you…it is entirely your choice. But you MUST repent in order to enter the Kingdom of God. Repentance means to have a turn around in your thinking AND to leave entirely one thing and go do another. It means to set your mind, heart, soul and dstrnegth on something else completely, and your affections, and your energies, and your desires.
While we cannnot avoid death, God has provided us a way of being released from our enslavement to both the devil and our sins – our messed up lives. We must, just as Jesus preached long ago, Repent! for the kingdom of God is at hand !!
Jesus Christ has spoken many times about Hell and that Fire that burns forever: Jesus said that Hell, the everlasting fire, was prepared (NOT for man but) for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41)
The Lord Jesus Christ made it very plain that “everyone who hears these Words from Me, and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the rains came down, and the floods came up, and the winds blew, and fell against that house, but it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
And everyone who hears these Words from Me, and who does NOT do them, he shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand; and the rains came down, and the floods came up, and the winds blew and beat against that house ; and it fell, and great was the collapse of it.” Matthew 7:24-27.
PERHAPS you are going through that time of storm in your life when you feel that your whole house- your very life will collapse into oblivion. Jesus Christ understands how you feel. He Himself cried out to God His Father while He hung on that cross for you, bearing all your shame and guilt and the very wrath of God against you for all your sins against Him. The physical agony was great enough, but the agony of soul was far greater, and that is why He yelled out,
“MY GOD! MY GOD! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?!
Heaven and earth had never, and has never since then heard such a cry as that.
JESUS had always pleased His Father. Nothing like this had ever happened to Him before. Jesus was utterly overwhelmed and knew that God had totally deserted Him. This was crushing! To be utterly forsaken by God is enough to kill any soul, for we were all made to have unbroken delightful fellowship with God the Father. And that unconscious awareness is deep within pour souls.
SO Jesus truly understands how you might feel. He loves you deeply. That is why He tells us to repent, and come to Him completely; He said unless we repent we shall all perish – Luke 13:13. And that is why He died in your place not just physically, but also spiritually. He tasted death for you. He tasted physical death – His blood was shed, because He was bearing your sins – all of them as a pleasing sacrifice to God. And His blood has atoned fully for your sins. He also experienced spiritual death so that you would not have to drink of that second (spiritual) death. And that word forsaken – deserted, means just that.
If Jesus had not died spiritually, He would not have yelled out in great agony of soul Why have You forsaken Me. He would have said something like this – Father, thank you for not forsaking Me in my great trial as I die in place of everyone else.
The final Second death
is an absolute irrevocable severance
from God
who is
Life, Light and Love.
He is the only Fountain of Joy, hope, comfort and peace
JESUS said, “Come unto Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
Come to Jesus Christ, with your whole
heart, soul, mind and strength,
while you have time.
He alone can save!!
